It’s almost that time! Our walk is happening on Saturday and we are excited about seeing all of our wonderful supporters in Jacksonville.
Be sure to arrive early to receive a free drawstring backpack (quantities are limited) and to enjoy complimentary doughnuts and water!
Our pre-walk ceremony begins at 8:30 a.m. and will include:
- Welcome by Harriett Wynn, President of Florida State Foster/Adoptive Parent Association
- Welcome by Mike Carroll, Secretary of Florida Department of Children and Families
- Welcome by Lee Kaywork, CEO of Family Support Services of North Florida
- Moment of silence for the late Dee Wilson, a longtime Jacksonville foster parent who passed away earlier this year
- National Anthem
A big thanks to our sponsors, donors and partners listed. This walk would not be possible without their generous support.
Special thanks to Andrea Fritschle and Commercial Fire Inc. for their monetary and duffel donations!
If you are a foster parent registered for the walk, you have already received an email to request a duffel for your child(ren) on next Saturday. We are honored to provide this gift to the children.
Everyone else, there is still time to register — your walk registration includes admission to the Jacksonville Zoo. Visit www.duffels4kids.org so you can join us for a fun day at the zoo!
Use the hashtag #Duffels4KidsWalk on social media and we’ll share your photos. See you soon in Jacksonville!
