Volunteers and donors are the lifeblood of nonprofits, and Duffels4Kids is honored to recognize both a volunteer and donor this week!

Andrea Puckett heard about Duffels4Kids while attending foster parent orientation classes in Jacksonville. She immediately wanted to help and began contacting luggage companies to see if they could assist in getting luggage to children in foster care.

This led to Biaggi CEO Stephen Herch becoming a donor for Duffels4Kids!

Many of you may know the Biaggi brand from SharkTank, a reality TV program that features self-made, multimillionaire and billionaire tycoons who invest in America’s best businesses and products. Stephen appeared on the show in December 2014, and has garnered nearly $5 million in retail sales since the episode aired.

Biaggi’s Zipsak foldable luggage is perfect for our cause. Many of our children in foster care have to make several moves while in the child welfare system and sometimes they must share a room with other children in the home. Not only is the Biaggi luggage durable, but it shrinks down for simple storage under a bed or in a drawer, which helps a child in transition.

And also thanks to Andrea, we now have a contact person for luggage donations in Jacksonville. If you are a Jacksonville or Duval County resident and would like to donate luggage, contact Andrea at apuckett@duffels4kids.org. She will also be happy to help with information requests for our upcoming walk at the Jacksonville Zoo on May 21.

Thank you both Andrea and Stephen for believing in Duffels4Kids’ vision of changing the culture of foster care, one duffel at a time. Supporters like you truly make a difference in children’s lives.
